RETFORD PILGRIMS’ FESTIVAL

– ILLUMINATE 2016

Date: Saturday 19 November – Sunday 27 November 2016

Venue: Various venues in and around Retford, Nottinghamshire

We’re currently planning our events for this year’s Mayflower Pilgrims’ Illuminate festival. If you want to get involved or find out more, please get in touch by contacting us at contact@bassetlawchristianheritage.com.

At the Pilgrim Fathers UK Origins Association we believe in going out into the local community to promote the story of the Mayflower Pilgrims. And we believe that you can never be either too old or too young to learn about this important heritage.

Recently the Chair of our Association took a party of children from a local primary school on a free tour around the Mayflower Trail. We cannot post pictures of the children here but we can show the wonderful letters she received back.

In addition to the village show; this year we are holding a Scarecrow Competition.  There is no theme for the scarecrows we look forward to seeing your creations.  All scarecrows need to be displayed by 11am on the day of the show.  If you need any straw then please contact Councillor Goodall at Milners Farm.  The scarecrows will be judged by the Ward Councillors
